Laura Callan, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Laura Callan, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated her career exclusively to the mental health and wellbeing of older adults. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado and completed her Master of Science in Nursing and PMHNP certification at Vanderbilt University, one of the country's leading programs in advanced practice nursing.
Laura specializes in the evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and the behavioral and cognitive symptoms that accompany dementia and age-related decline. Her clinical approach is thorough and individualized, grounded in a genuine effort to understand each patient's history, values, and goals before recommending a path forward. She works closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop treatment plans that are practical, compassionate, and built around what matters most to the people she serves.
What sets Laura apart is both the depth of her focus and the intentionality behind it. Geriatric psychiatry is not a secondary specialty for her — it is where she has chosen to build her entire clinical career. That commitment shapes every patient encounter, and it is the foundation on which SparkWell Mental Health Services was built.
Patrick Callan
Patrick Callan is a healthcare operator and entrepreneur who has spent his career building and leading businesses at the intersection of business and behavioral health. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business, bringing a strong foundation in strategy, relationship management, and organizational development to everything he builds.
As founder of Guideline Healthcare, a national mental health staffing firm, Patrick spent over a decade working closely alongside psychiatric clinicians and cultivating partnerships with more than 120 mental health facilities across the country, spanning community practices, independent providers, and the largest telehealth organizations in the nation. His subsequent role as Chief Business Officer at a psychiatric services company deepened his understanding of clinical operations, payer dynamics, and the structural gaps that prevent most practices from delivering truly consistent care.
What Patrick brings to SparkWell is not just operational expertise, but a ground-level understanding of how psychiatric services are built, where they break down, and what it takes to do it differently. That experience translates directly into value for every facility and community SparkWell serves, supported by a partner who knows this industry from every angle and built this practice with a clear purpose in mind.
